‘Theatre of Noise’ is an experiment in DIY synthesizers and audio-reactive visuals, projected through a smoke machine. Participants are encouraged to explore the space and interact with the synths which produce different tones whose pitch can be controlled by the user.
The audio that is generated from the synths is detected and tracked by custom software which turns the audio into a visual signal, creating a space where people engage in a distributed performance, generating the sound and light elements themselves.
